Scrolling down this page you will find a ongoing posting of all the comments submitted to our website. Many have memories of the band, some of particular members and are excited for the concert in May. Many thanks to all who have taken the time here to say hello and share with us thier memories.

"Many, many memories of the band as lived through my parents, but also my own experiences: the Sunday softball and volleyball games with the Civic crew, Marc's brother's wedding, talking Zappa with Rob while he chauffered me (on Mack Parrish's behalf) to hockey practice, every time I hear "White Bird" on the radio and don't like the version as well as Sweet Maya's, and of course rehearsals for the album in our basement." Kevin Andresen

"HOORAY~ so glad you are together again and happy to hear about your concert. I was first introduced to your music (have your "record", will get the CD asap) by my brother David Green/ Merilee Gaines Green (WMU) music majors in the 70's. Really looking forward to seeing/hearing you again. Best wishes to you all!!" Jane (Bauer) Snow

"Hey, Robbie, et al -
I will see you May 7!! I'm trying to round up some of the old (ouch!) gang, like Catey, my brother, and cousin Kris..... we all grew up watching you haul that guitar around, and it's been way too long since we've seen you! Hope you will have a few minutes free while you're here!

Somehow, I picture a get-together of this sort at The Whistlestop, but alas..... so much has changed. I am excited to see you all together again!" Robin Racette-Griffin

"Many, many years ago I worked with Janice at LVCH, Have lost touch with her but read your article in the Kalamzoo Gazzette. I plan to get tickets to the concert. It will be a delight to hear Sweet Maya again and maybe get a chance to talk with Janice . Thank you Sweet Maya for deciding to do a concert!!!!!" Sandra Mitchell-Wallace

"Dear John~ I am very excited to be able to see in concert after hearing about your for the last 30 years from my mom and dad (Mike & Natalie Jo).

Love, Elisa (your goddaughter)" Elisa Aitken

"Can't wait to see and hear you! One request please...White Bird.

Thank you" Mike Aitken

"Wow! What a blast from the past. I'm reelin' in the years back in those great old 70's of hanging at Wayside Lanes, The Whistle Stop, and any other of the many places to hear and watch one of the best local bands ever formed. And now I can hear them again, thirty years later! Yahoo!

Don't forget, Robby, you gave me my first guitar lessons in 1967! Ouch! Now that should let you know how far back WE go! Thanks for the memoris past, present, and future." Doug Bennett

"Reading the bands history provided me with a great deal of new information about the band.

It seems that we could spend Friday and Saturday night together, those with talent performing and the rest of us listening and enjoying the ambiance created by Sweet Maya. Then on Sunday, we were back together again playing games, smiling and laughing.

Those days though long ago are still very sweet memories and led to some very special friendships and relationships that I treasure to this day." Milli Lambert

"Good to hear you are getting together again. Always enjoyed hearing you play. As I remember you used to play one big band number from the 40's hope that you play that again as you did it very well." Steven Juk
